The VALMA shut-off ball valve of the BAV 3P-T series is a coupling (threaded) full-bore three-piece ball valve in industrial design. The ball valves of this series have a diagonal square head shaft and an F03-F10 type connection flange, which makes them compatible with pneumatic and electric actuators according to GOST R 55510-2013 and ISO 5211 (for example, with VALMA pneumatic actuators of the PNA-DA series or with pneumatic actuators with spring return). VALMA valves of the BAV series can also be used as manual ball valves. To do this, instead of a pneumatic or electric drive, a stainless steel handle is installed on the faucet.
The BAV 3P valves consist of three parts connected by four bolts. Seals are located between the middle and side parts of the body, which are the seat of the ball and at the same time seal the joints of the valve body parts. The three-part design provides easy assembly and disassembly of the valve. It allows the valve to be mounted on a pipeline without using lugs or union nut connections. In the future, for maintenance (for example, when cleaning a faucet or replacing seals), it is enough to unscrew the bolts that tighten the valve and remove the middle part. At the same time, the side parts of the housing remain fixed to the pipeline, so re-sealing of the thread is not required.
