VALMA electromagnetic pneumatic pilot valves of the PIV-S-BP series are designed to control rotary pneumatic actuators with return springs, pneumatic valves or other pneumatic actuators with one-way action (with return springs). These pneumatic valves are pneumatic control valves of the spool type with pneumatic control. This means that the movement of the spool is carried out by compressed air, and the valve itself does not have a coil and, therefore, does not require power supply.
Pneumatically controlled valves are usually used in small pneumatic systems operating without an electrical connection, or for installation in areas that do not allow cable lines to be laid.
The 3/2-NC pneumatic function allows these valves to be used to control actuators with return springs (pneumatic cylinders or single-acting pneumatic actuators, as well as angle valves)
The PIV-S-BP control valves have a combined pneumatic spring return, which ensures a reliable transition of the valve to its initial state after pressure relief
. The valve model and main technical characteristics are marked on the body by laser engraving, which ensures easy reading of information even many years after commissioning.
