The test device PN-20 is designed to test and evaluate the insulation resistance of non-energized high-voltage cable lines, insulators, couplings, motors and other equipment, as well as to test high-voltage arresters with a constant voltage of 0.5 to 20 kV. The device can be used by line personnel for operational control of the insulation condition before putting the equipment into operation after installation or repair.

The device is designed to test residual current devices (RCDs) of AC, A types. The RCD type and its rated differential current are set manually in the device.
