Measurement of the "phase-zero" loop is carried out during acceptance testing of equipment at the request of controlling organizations or periodically - once every 3 years.When measuring the loop resistance "phase-zero", "phase-phase", the device simultaneously measures the active, reactive and impedance of the loop, and also calculates the predicted short-circuit current without disabling the line protection. This is necessary to check the correctness of the set nominal value of the short-circuit protection element (circuit breaker or fuse) and determine the timely operation of this protection. The body of the device is equipped with magnetic holders, which allows, if necessary, to quickly mount the device on steel surfaces, including those with paint and varnish coatings.
