The VALMA shut-off ball valve of the BAV-2P-T series is a coupling (threaded) full-bore two-piece ball valve in industrial design. The ball valves of this series have a diagonal square head shaft and an F03-F10 type connection flange, which makes them compatible with pneumatic and electric actuators according to GOST R 55510-2013 and ISO 5211 (for example, with VALMA pneumatic actuators of the PNA-DA series or with pneumatic actuators with spring return). VALMA valves of the BAV series can also be used as manual ball valves. To do this, instead of a pneumatic or electric drive, a stainless steel handle is installed on the faucet.
The valves of the BAV 2P consist of two parts twisted together. This construction is called a two-part one. Two-part valves contain fewer parts and have a lower weight compared to three-part valves. However, such valves require a slightly longer amount of time for maintenance, as one of the side parts must be removed from the pipeline to disassemble them.
For tasks requiring frequent and rapid maintenance, it is recommended to use three-piece ball valves BAV-3P-T or BAV-3P-F.
