One-way pneumatic rotary actuator.

The pneumatic actuator is designed to control BAV ball valves (taps), butterfly valves, and pipe fittings from any manufacturer whose connecting flange for installing the pneumatic actuator is made in accordance with ISO 5211 and DIN 3337 standards.

VALMA rotary pneumatic actuators of the PNA-SA series are single-acting actuators. This means that the transfer of the drive from the neutral state to the activated state is carried out due to the energy of compressed air, and the return to the neutral state is due to the force of the springs built into the drive. Thus, single-acting pneumatic actuators provide a safe neutral state to which the valve connected to the actuator returns in the absence of electricity or compressed air.

PNA-SA pneumatic actuators in assembly with BAV ball valves can provide both a closed (NC valve) and an open (BUT valve) safe condition. Moreover, the same articles of the pneumatic actuator and ball valve can be used to implement the NC and NO valves, since the initial state is determined at the time of assembly of the pneumatic actuator and ball valve: if the ball valve was closed during installation of the actuator, then the NC valve will be obtained after assembly; if the ball valve was open during installation of the actuator, then after The assembly will work, BUT the valve.

To provide more torque with smaller dimensions and weight, PNA-DA double-acting pneumatic actuators can be used. When choosing a single- or double-acting pneumatic actuator, it should be borne in mind that only the single-acting (spring-return) actuators presented on this page can provide an emergency return of the valve to its initial state in the absence of air pressure.
