The VALMA positioner of the EPP series is a rotary (rotary) electropneumatic positioner, whose operation is based on a nozzle-flap type device. Positioners of this design are highly reliable and resistant to electromagnetic interference. However, during operation, such positioners continuously consume a small amount of compressed air.
VALMA EP series electropneumatic positioners are designed for installation on pneumatic actuators of ball valves, butterfly valves or other mechanisms. The positioner provides smooth adjustment of the angle of rotation of the pneumatic actuator shaft in proportion to the 4...20 mA control signal. Some positioner models are capable of transmitting the current position of the shaft rotation angle to a higher-level control system via a 4...20 mA signal or discrete signals from an integrated limit switch unit.
