An automatic switchover unit is designed for automatic switchover of two independent gas sources with an operating pressure of up to 40.0 MPa in order to ensure continuous supply to consumers and to maintain the set operating pressure.
Structurally, the automatic switchover unit is a manifold with a unit of automatic change-over between legs and with a remote control panel, which is used to automate the system with minimum human intervention. This makes it possible to feed gas continuously while switching cylinder groups automatically in a timely manner and to perform remote monitoring of manifold operation. The manifold consists of three basic units: two cylinder sections and a central automatic switchover unit with a power supply and control unit and a remote light-and-sound warning device.
Unit switchovers are controlled by a control unit, which contains a programmable controller with a manifold maintenance program integrated in it. The controller monitors actions of pressure setpoint contacts of the unit's electric contact pressure gauges and—according to the programmed algorithm—controls operation for switchover of cylinder groups.
The gas circuit of the automatic unit has manually operated valves.
It is suitable for work with industrial gases—nitrogen, argon, and oxygen.
